2014 Teachers Give Final Presentations

Teachers in the 2nd cohort of the Mobile CSP Profession Development (PD) course gave final presentations in McCook auditorium.

The six-week course was held at Trinity College from July 7 - August 15. This year's cohort represents the following schools:

  • Bulkeley High School, Hartford
  • Conard High School, West Hartford
  • Connecticut River Academy, East Hartford
  • Hall High School, West Hartford
  • Jonathan Law High School, Milford
  • Kolbe Cathedral High School, Bridgeport
  • Manchester High School, Manchester
  • Metropolitan Learning Center, Bloomfield
  • Simsbury High School, Simsbury
  • University High School of Science & Engineering, Hartford
  • Weaver Culinary Arts Academy, Hartford
  • Westbrook High School, Westbrook

    This year's teachers used the Mobile CSP project's new Google Course Builder hosting site, which consists of a teacher-facing branch, which contains lesson plans, grading rubrics, solutions, and other resources, and a student-facing branch, which contains the App Inventor and CSP lessons. This fall, all Mobile CSP teachers will be using the new site in their courses.

    This group of teachers will join teachers from last year's cohort in offering the Mobile CSP course to students in CT schools. This year there will be 25 CT teachers who will be teaching the course, as well as several teachers from MA and other states.
